Mr. Wood earned both his B.A (English) and his MBA from the University of Virginia. He has held a number of manufacturing management positions, including that of Operations Manager, while employed with a subsidiary of Alumax, the nation's third largest aluminum company. This period spanned 16 years. He has special interests in Continuous Quality Improvement, Project Management and skills development in the workplace. He has developed and presented training modules and seminars in Total Quality Management, Statistical Process Control, Cycle Time Reduction and Project Management. His activities also include management consulting in Operations. He is co-Director of Virginia's Manufacturing Innovation Center.
