COB 204. Computer Information Systems 3 credits. Offered fall and spring.
This course is an introduction to computer-based information systems. Emphasis is placed on:
- Database
- Collaboration
- Computer Hardware
- Software
- Analysis and Design
- Implementation of Information Systems
- Computer Ethics
- The Role of Computers in Society
- The Functional Areas of Business
Students will create databases and webpages using microcomputer tools. The prerequisite course for is that you must be a declared busines major or minor. There final exam is given at the end of the semester on the Saturday before exam week.
