Dr. Markham teaches statistics, quantitative methods, information technology tools and methods, and technology-enhanced decision making at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Her research interests include neural networks, applied statistics, operations research techniques, organizational leadership issues,  and their applications in business.

Dr. Markham has published papers in Decision Sciences, Journal of Integrated Manufacturing Systems, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Computers and Operations Research,
Journal of International Technology and Information Management, Applications of Management Science: Engineering, International Journal of Biometeorology, Information Technology, Learning and Performance Journal, Production Planning and Control, Production and Inventory Management Journal, and Leadership Quarterly.

Dr. Markham is a member of the Decision Sciences Institute ( DSI) and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences ( INFORMS). She has served both organizations, at the national and regional levels, in a variety of roles. Dr. Markham is past President of SE DSI as well as SE INFORMS. She was recognized with the Distinguished Service award by SE INFORMS in October 2003. She is
an At-Large Vice President of DSI and is also currently serving on the Council for SE DSI and SE INFORMS.
