Hobbies

Our son Sykes is 6 1/2 years old and our daughter Abby is 3 1/2 years old.  Our main hobby is containing the two of them.  We are stopping at two kids so we can continue to play "man-to-man" defense.

 

Our activities are generally centered around the kids and include making giant slip-n-slides, making chalk drawings in the driveway, having dance night (complete with strobe light), going to Purcell Park, driving in the mountains, having a picnic on the quad, lightsaber fights, playing Star Wars Lego on the XBox, playing with Legos, getting ice cream, wrestling until someone gets hurt and wants to quit, and taking Sykes and Abby to the movies.

Abby cried when we tried to get her a JMU cheerleader outfit.  We finally had to get her a "flootball" jersey instead.	Wrestling is almost a daily activity

After the Kids go to bed, Beth and I are reality TV (American Idol, etc.) junkies.  We also watch The Office and reruns of Seinfeld. 

Although we rarely get the chance, there are activities that we pursue outside of kids.  Beth plays the piano and guitar and sings as well.  She grew up sailing at Camp Seafarer and wants to teach our kids to sail when they get older.  I like playing intramural flag football, snowboarding, and ultimate frisbee.  Beth has great skills with a frisbee and I have finally convinced her to play intramurals with me this year.
