We like just about ANYTHING (old R & B, rap, rock, dance, country,
bluegrass, musical scores, etc.). Our favorite is probably David
Wilcox. Here is a sampling of what plays in our cars and at home: Aretha
Franklin, Van Morrison, Marvin Gaye, Frank Sinatra, Madonna (that's right...I
should be ashamed, but we do occasionally listen to the material girl), Patsy Cline, Allison Krauss
and Union Station, Rolling Stones, Mary Mary, Jimmy Buffet,
Beach Music, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor,
and even Ludacris. I am on a bit of an "old school funk" kick right
now so I like to listen to the sounds of the GAP
Band, Dazz Band, or Parliament.
I am amazed at how often this music finds its way into dance mixes today as
well as the constant play it gets at NBA games.
Beth really likes Karen
Carpenter and can do an uncanny vocal impression of her. I, on the
other hand, like Elvis and can do an unwanted vocal impression of him.
