instructions Throughout this semester to date I've been bringing to your attention content directly relevant to our interests in this course. I've drawn from articles linked in the email newsletters you're (supposed to be) subscribed to and other sources. It's your turn. Six weeks remain in this fall 2007 semester. Over these six weeks I expect each person to bring to my attention AT LEAST twice, two times, articles addressing issues directly related to what we're studying. One every three weeks. Describe to me in your email the 'big ideas' you think readers should take away from reading the piece. The big ideas should be from the perspective of a marketing professional with budget & P&L responsibility. This is the persepctive I've used in relating to you in class articles I bring to your attention. If I agree with your assessment of the article you share with me, I'll convert it to a pdf file and link it from here. If I disagree, I'll reply back to you with my reason(s). You'll have to try again. This is exercise 11 valued @ 50 points. |
reading These articles are all very current. All are directly relevant to our interests in this course. The first, fourth, and fifth are highlighted and have embedded comments to call attention to and remark about what I believe are the big ideas, the essential information, to take away from reading this article. These are the ideas that would get my attention as a marketing professional and which I'd be discussing with my boss, my colleagues, my clients about implications for our work.
