Internet
Resources
Here are some of my favorite links
to economic information on the Internet:
Economics at JMU. More on majors, concentrations,
the minor -- and careers in economics.
Economic Data and Links.
Lots of good up-to-date data maintained by California State University, Fresno.
Economics Resources on the
Internet. An excellent source document, frequently updated, about what's out there.
Government Economic Data. You paid for
it; why not go look at it? This Census Bureau site is a good place to start.
Library Resources. Starting with Carrier
Library, this site can give you access to lots of resources at JMU and elsewhere.
Statistical Tables.
From
the Economic Report of the President, the tables accessible through this
site are the best single data
source for econometrics students.
Statistical
Abstract. The best single book for data on the 50 states; lots of national statistics
too.
Microsoft's MoneyCentral. An excellent
personal finance site, with lots of good advice. For better or for worse, this one's run
by Bill Gates' company.
Quicken's Personal Finance Site. An excellent
personal finance site, with lots of good advice. For better or for worse, this one's not
run by Bill Gates' company.
Concentration
Ratios in Manufacturing. Good material for Industrial Organization
students.
Detroit News Autos. This is an
excellent auto industry site, but you won't like it unless you're a car buff. |
